Robin Hood Hat

These hats are so simple and cheap to make and Caleb likes them so much that we made them in multiple colors. I even let the little boys choose what colors they wanted. Kids can be anything from Jack and the Beanstalk, to Peter Pan, to Robin Hood. Or even a pirate, (give him a break he's three!).

Materials needed are two pieces of craft felt in the same color, thread, needle, and a feather.

We followed Jen Spends' DIY Handmade Kids Robin Hood Costume. Her whole costume, actually both costumes are amazing, but we are doing Jack and the Beanstalk so we just made the hat. Or, rather, several hats in multiple colors.

We just followed the pattern on the link above. I did need to trim the fold up a bit and mine kept plopping down; could be the little boys kept messing with it. Hmm... So I sewed the fold up at the front and back of of the hat to ensure it stays on place.

  1. They are super easy to make and Caleb absolutely loved them for a day or so.
