Dipping Dots Prop

When I saw the bags of tiny colored Styrofoam balls at Walmart, I thought they'd be perfect for Dipping Dots and also for sprinkles.

Materials needed include; tiny colored Styrofoam balls, clear plastic cup, Mod Podge, plastic spoon, and paintbrush.

Paint the inside of the cup with a coat of Mod Podge. Then pour the Styrofoam balls into the cup. Pour the excess back into the bag and let it dry. Repeat the process over and over until you can't see through the cup at any point.  At this point there was a thick layer of Styrofoam balls all around the inside of the cup, but a hole at the top. So I just added Mod Podge around the edges of the hole then poured in the Styrofoam balls and poured out the excess until the hole was almost closed. Then I slipped in the spoon and repeated the process until the hole was completely covered up. This whole process took a few days due to the drying time. It also took about a week for the Mod Podge that pooled at the bottom of the cup to become clear.

On set of Order Up!
