Faux Snow Cone Props

Simple Snow Cone Prop

These snow cone props are another very simple prop that we made with materials we had.  Sabrina made several of these and donated them to Seedling Theatre. So far they were in two plays; Charlotte's Web and Order Up

Materials needed are Styrofoam balls, knife, cutting board, cup or cone, craft paint, paint brushes, and glue. Very simple.

I recommend always looking at pictures of the real thing when making props. You can simply do a google search and look at images.

Cut the Styrofoam balls in half using a cutting board underneath. Then paint the half balls then add a second coat after they dry. It is okay for the colors to overlap a bit, like the pink and purple do in the photo. Once dry glue them into the cup or cone and you are done.

Sabrina, made an adorable Wilber! She posed with the fair props after the play, including the snow cones, caramel apples, and cake pops she made.
