Multiple ways to make fake sprinkles

Lots of food props use sprinkles. There are tons of ideas for making sprinkles on the internet. Below are the ones we have used. Most are simply Mod Podged on; I've listed those first.

tiny colored styrofoam balls on ice cream

cut up hair ties on donut

glass beads on cake pops

hole punched craft foam on sugar cookies

Oven baked clay on Chocolate truffles

I followed The Pink Tree's Faux Sprinkles DIY tutorial. (Her videos are awesome!) Sabrina followed Moriah Eliabeth's How to Make Deco Sprinkles | Squishies, Slime, Crafting, Clay Projects, (she is one of Sabrina's favorite YouTubers.) Both methods worked fine. This was our first time to use oven baked clay and our first time to use a clay extruder.

Materials needed are oven baked clay, a clay extruder, scissors, storage container, parchment paper, baking pan, and an oven. The links above show exactly how to make them.

    1. Thank you. This was our first time working with oven baked clay. I got my clay extruder a while back, but it just sat in a drawer.
