Prince Cape and Sash

For the cape, I used a table cloth I had sized for a small table. It measured 30"x30". Keep in mind that my Prince, Joshua, is a five-year old. The sash is a scrap from the same material as his Royal Money Bag Prop . It was an odd shaped scrap so I made it as wide as I could and cut it into a long skinny rectangle that fit diagonally from shoulder to waist. If this was a costume that he'd wear over and over again I would attach the sash with Velcro dots. However, my little guy won't be wearing this shirt much longer, so I may do that with a bigger size shirt. I loosely attached it with thread and a needle at the top and tape at the bottom for the photo. Royal Money Bag Props The blue money bag was made with scrap material and it belongs to a prince so it's much smaller than the king's purple moneybag. Our king requested multiple moneybags so he can be "The King Moneybags". Materials needed include velvet like fabric, needles, thread, scissors, fancy rope trim, marker, paper, bowl, ruler, glue, and straight pins. sample template Make a template using a bowl and a ruler. Place the bowl onto the paper and trace the circle. Then use the ruler to draw a line straight up from either side and another line connecting them. It does not have to be perfect. Nobody will notice mistakes when the bag is filled. I couldn't find a template online so I made my own. Dessert props for Order Up Two years ago, a friend invited us to join her at the local community college's career day. Sabrina, who was ten at the time, was fascinated with the drama department's booth of student made props. She was totally engrossed! The lady manning the booth told us that there were tutorials online. I decided then and there to make that Sabrina's art class. I spent hours searching the internet for simple props we could make from home, and I came up with some ideas to try along the way.
