Soft Pretzel Prop

Materials needed include: Crayola Model Magic, paint, paint brush, white aquarium rocks, and glue.

We used half a pack of Model Magic per pretzel. We rolled it into a snake about the length in the picture above. Try to keep it the same width throughout.

Next we made a U shape. Be careful that the Model Magic does not touch because it will stick to itself.

About half way up the U twist the ends twice facing away from the bottom of the U.

Carefully fold them over  on top of the bottom of the U and shape the holes as you like. We had to practice several times until we got it right. Be patient.

Let the pretzel sit in a safe place for several days to dry out and harden. Then paint it. I recommend looking at a real pretzel or pictures while painting. Once dry add the white aquarium rocks as salt. Break the rocks if needed.

On set of Into the the Woods- bakery scene.

    1. Yes. It took a little practice to figure out how to twist them.
