Flour and Sugar Bag Props

Materials needed include linen totes, stencils, marker, Poly-Fil stuffing, needle, thread, straight pins, and scissors.

I found these small bags and stencils at the Dollar Tree. I laid the bags flat with the handles out, you can cut them off, if you wish. I used a green marker to write FLOUR. Sabrina will make ones that say SUGAR in another color. You can either write it only on one side or on both sides.

Next I filled the bags with poly-fil stuffing. I tucked the handles in and hand sewed the bag shut along the seam at the opening. Straight pins certainly help. When I had about 2 inches left I added more stuffing to totally fill the bag.

Sabrina and I are currently making props for the bakery for Into the Woods, (though Sabrina nor Alex are in this play).

On set of Into the the Woods- bakery scene.

    1. Thank you. They were simple to make, but I think they add a bit of character to the bakery.
